Garage Door Repairs

Even if you just use it going to and from work, you open your garage door hundreds of times a year. It’s important to keep the door in proper working order to ensure the safety and security of the rest of the house. If something goes wrong, you should leave it to the experts in garage door repair in Smithtown, NY. However, there are still things you can do to avoid waking up to a screeching garage door, or one that won’t open at all.

  • Inspect the hardware
  • Tighten loose brackets and bolts and replace broken rollers and lift cables with broken strands.
  • Maintain springs, chains and seals
  • Keep the chain, springs and screws lubricated to contain noise and reduce wear. If necessary, you should replace the bottom weather seal to prevent leaks, especially if it's visibly dry and brittle. Test the doors periodically from outside the car to note any unusual noises or motion.

Services available include

  • Hardware replacement from our fully stocked trucks.
  • Diagnostic of the entire door assembly
  • Adjustments to ensure the door rolls up and down smoothly.

The Technicians at Garage Door company Above & Beyond Garage Doors professionally install, repair, and service all kinds of residential and commercial doors throughout the area of Smithtown, NY.

Smithtown is a town in Suffolk County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. The population was 117,801 at the 2010 Census.

The census-designated place (CDP) of Smithtown lies within the town's borders.

Smithtown originally, known as "Smithfield", was first settled around 1665. Local legend has it that, after rescuing a Native American chief's kidnapped daughter, Richard Smith was told that the chief would grant title to all of the land Smith could encircle in one day "on a bull". Smith chose to ride the bull on the longest day of the year (summer solstice), to enable him to ride longer "in one day". The land he acquired in this way is said to approximate the current town's location. There is a large anatomically correct statue of Smith's bull, known as Whisper, at the fork of Jericho Turnpike (New York State Route 25) and St. Johnland Road (New York State Route 25A).
